Ingredients
- 2 ripe but firm bananas
- 1 tbsp melted coconut oil
- 1 tbsp granulated sugar
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- Pinch of salt
Instructions
- Slice the Bananas: Peel bananas and cut into thin rounds (about 1/8″ thick) for crisp results.
- Mix Seasoning: In a small bowl, combine sugar, cinnamon, and salt.
- Coat the Slices: Gently toss banana slices in melted coconut oil. Sprinkle with the cinnamon sugar mixture and toss again to evenly coat.
- Preheat & Arrange: Preheat air fryer to 300°F (150°C). Lay banana slices in a single layer in the basket, without overlapping.
- Air Fry to Perfection: Cook for 15–18 minutes, flipping halfway through. Chips should be golden and crisp.
- Cool & Serve: Let chips cool on a wire rack to firm up before serving. Enjoy immediately or store once completely cooled.
Notes
Use ripe but firm bananas—too soft and they won’t crisp. Slice evenly for uniform texture (a mandoline helps). Don’t overcrowd—air circulation is key to crisping. Let chips cool fully for max crunch. Re-crisp softened chips in the air fryer for 1–2 minutes.
