Ingredients

  • 1 Tbsp fresh ginger, sliced
  • 1/2 Tbsp fresh turmeric
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • 1/4 cup pineapple core chunks
  • 1 cup filtered water
  • 1 lemon-verbena tea bag
  • Optional: 1 tsp raw apple cider vinegar
  • Optional: 1 lemon slice
  • Optional: honey

Instructions

  1. Add ginger, turmeric, cinnamon, pineapple core, and water to a small saucepan.
  2. Simmer gently for 5 minutes to release flavors.
  3. Remove from heat, add the tea bag, cover, and steep for 10 minutes.
  4. Strain into a mug and add apple cider vinegar or honey if desired.
  5. Garnish with a lemon slice and enjoy warm, ideally in the morning.

Notes

Chill leftovers for an iced version. Swap lemon verbena with hibiscus for a ruby-red tea. Freeze the concentrate into ice cubes for quick tea on the go. Add chia seeds for a fiber-rich twist.
