Ingredients
Scale
- 1½ lbs ground chuck (80/20 blend recommended)
- 3 tbsp sour cream (or Greek yogurt)
- 2 tbsp ranch dressing mix
- ⅓ cup cooked and crumbled bacon
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 6 hamburger buns
- Lettuce, tomato, mustard, mayo (optional toppings)
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine ground chuck, sour cream, ranch mix, bacon, and cheddar cheese. Use hands or a spoon to mix just until combined. Don’t overmix.
- Form into 6 equal-sized patties. Press a small dimple in the center of each. Wet hands slightly to prevent sticking.
- Preheat grill or skillet over medium heat. Cook patties for 4 to 6 minutes per side, depending on desired doneness.
- Place patties on toasted buns. Add lettuce, tomato, mayo, or your favorite toppings. Serve hot.
Notes
Use cold hands to shape patties. Patties can be made ahead and stored in the fridge for up to 1 day. Let burgers rest for 5 minutes after cooking. Toast buns for extra texture.
