- 2 cups pancake mix
- 1 1/4 cups milk
- 1 large egg
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 lb chicken sausage, cooked and crumbled
- 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese (optional)
- 2 tbsp melted butter
- 1 tbsp maple syrup (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a 9×9-inch or 9×13-inch baking dish.
- In a large bowl, whisk together pancake mix, milk, egg, and vanilla until smooth. Stir in melted butter and maple syrup, if using.
- Pour half the batter into the dish. Sprinkle sausage over it. Add cheese if using. Pour remaining batter on top and spread evenly.
- Bake for 25–30 minutes until golden and set. Let cool 5 minutes before slicing.
- Serve warm with butter and syrup or hot sauce.
Notes
Store leftovers in the fridge for up to 4 days or freeze in portions. Reheat in the microwave or oven at 350°F.
