The Best Peach Sorbet (No Ice Cream Maker Needed!)

  • Author: Chef Emma
  • Total Time: 7 hours
  • Yield: 8 servings 1x

Description

This Peach Sorbet is summer in a bowl—refreshing, sweet, and incredibly easy to make with just 3 ingredients and no ice cream maker needed. Whether you’re using fresh peaches or frozen, it comes out smooth, luscious, and bursting with peachy goodness every time.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 800g peeled and sliced ripe yellow peaches (fresh or frozen)
  • 200g caster sugar (or homemade superfine sugar)
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice (adjust to taste)

Instructions

  1. If using fresh peaches, slice into eighths and peel each slice. If using frozen, thaw slightly for easier blending.
  2. Place peach slices and caster sugar into a food processor. Blend until completely smooth, scraping down the sides as needed.
  3. Taste and add lemon juice, blending after each addition until flavors are bright and balanced.
  4. Transfer mixture into a shallow, freezer-safe dish. Spread evenly and freeze for 6-7 hours until firm and scoopable.
  5. Let sorbet sit at room temperature for a few minutes before scooping. Serve in bowls or cones for a refreshing treat.

Notes

If caster sugar isn’t available, pulse regular granulated sugar in a blender until fine. Stick to a 4:1 fruit-to-sugar ratio for a smooth texture. Sorbet keeps for up to 2 weeks in an airtight container in the freezer.
