Description
A deliciously hearty twist on the classic spaghetti, combining ground beef, vibrant vegetables, and savory spices for a comforting family meal.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 green bell pepper, chopped
- 1 red bell pepper, chopped
- 1 can (28 oz) crushed tomatoes
- 2 tablespoons tomato paste
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 8 oz spaghetti
- Grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
Instructions
- Cook the ground beef in a large skillet over medium heat until browned. Drain excess fat.
- Add the onion, garlic, and bell peppers; sauté until tender and aromatic.
- Stir in the crushed tomatoes, tomato paste, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Let it simmer for 20-30 minutes.
- Meanwhile, cook the spaghetti according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
- Serve the sauce generously over the spaghetti and top with grated Parmesan cheese if desired.
Notes
Make ahead by preparing the sauce in advance and refrigerating it for up to three days. Ground turkey can be used instead of beef for a leaner option.
